Three essential books for Grades 9 & 10:
These books provide helpful summaries of basic information on each Topic. They also give actual exam questions for students to practise. Detailed solutions with explanations help students to take control of their own learning. Students can read and understand the correct answers and learn from any mistakes they may have made.
The books can be used in class to revise each Topic as it is taught in Grades 9 & 10. They also provide excellent preparation for individual students preparing themselves for the Grade 10 National Examinations and the Flexible Open and Distance Education (FODE) Examinations.
Geometric patterns are favoured in the Highlands. The geometrical pattern on the cover is from the Central Highlands. It was on a man’s bark belt, about 18 cm wide.
The cover graphic is based on a design used on a fruit bowl, from Kar, Rai coast. It was based on the cross-section of a fruit that grows wild in the bush.
The cover reproduces a design for coconut baskets based on the nautilus shell represented by the pattern of the curved line that forms a rough circle. The nautilus pattern is spiked with sawfish teeth and balanced with filler patterns.
