Bilum Books has a partnership with Christian Books Melanesia (CBM). Under this partnership, all stocks of Bilum Books are stored in the CBM warehouse in Lae.
Wherever you are in the country, your Bilum Books are sent from Lae. Small orders are sent by airfreight, larger orders are sent by sea freight.
Some Provinces have bookshops or stationery suppliers where you can get Bilum Books. There are also smaller re-sellers who supply our books. Larger organisations, such as NGOs or the Provincial Education Divisions of the Department of Education, can order direct from Bilum Books but it can be quicker and cheaper to order from the local supplier nearest to you.

Note: Many books used in schools are not warehoused in PNG – they are held in warehouses offshore (usually Australia). That means you have to order from overseas and you have to pay freight from overseas – which is expensive. Delivery from overseas can take a long time. You also have to pay in a foreign currency – usually Australian dollars.
The Bilum Books and Christian Books Melanesia partnership is important because it makes Bilum Books easy to obtain in PNG. Under the agreement, all Bilum Books are stored in the CBM warehouse in Lae. When you order a Bilum Book, it comes from Lae. Yes, you have to pay freight but it is cheaper than freight from overseas – and it’s quicker. You also make payment to CBM – in kina.
